<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A recent social media battle between J Balvin and Residente has turned into a Hot Dog mania in Puerto Rico.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even though the reason for their battle is out of the range of topics we usually cover, we did find an amazing calling that needs to be shared with our community.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A few moments ago, Residente — René Perez Joglar — issued a calling on both his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/residente/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow"><span style="color:#7ea33f" class="has-inline-color">personal</span></a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/cervezaresidente/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow"><span style="color:#7ea33f" class="has-inline-color">Cerveza Residente’s</span></a> Instagram accounts announcing that with the purchase of a hot dog from La Draga — a small hot dog stand located right in front of Marshalls in Ponce de Leon Avenue stop 16 — customers will get a <strong>free</strong> Cerveza Residente. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This will only be available tomorrow, Friday, October 1st from 9 am to 5 pm. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So if you’re in the Santurce area tomorrow, be sure to pass by <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ladragahotdog/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><span style="color:#7ea33f" class="has-inline-color">La Draga</span></a> and support a local small business. Remember to wear your mask and keep your social distance. </p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">In early January, the online travel marketplace KOALA did some <a href="https://www.go-koala.com/travelblog/future-travel-trends/"><span style="color:#7ea33f" class="has-inline-color">research</span></a> to find out what are the future travel trends amongst Americans.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">KOALA did some heavy leg-work and analyzed search data from Google to find out the top destinations Americans have searched for over the past six months.</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Puerto Rico came up as the <strong>top destination</strong> searched for by Americans with a total of 580,100 searches.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Mexico came in second place with 476,690 total searches; the Maldives came third with 312,200 total searches.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="800" height="404" src="https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=800%2C404&#038;ssl=1" alt="Top 3 Travel Destinations Searched - KOALA Research" class="wp-image-1613" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=1024%2C517&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=300%2C151&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=768%2C387&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=1536%2C775&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?resize=1080%2C545&amp;ssl=1 1080w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?w=1655&amp;ssl=1 1655w, https://i0.wp.com/roampuertorico.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/KOALA-Future-Travel-Trends-research.jpg?w=1600&amp;ssl=1 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption><span class="has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color">Top Country Destinations by KOALA</span></figcaption></figure>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">With Puerto Rico being just about four hours from cities such as New York, Dallas, and Philadelphia, it’s no wonder it makes for an attractive destination. When broken down state by state, KOALA found Puerto Rico to be trending with states on the East Coast.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Additionally, Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory and thus Americans don’t need a passport to travel here.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">However, according to the New York Times’ <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/puerto-rico-coronavirus-cases.html"><span style="color:#7ea337" class="has-inline-color">Puerto Rico Coronavirus Map and Case Count</span></a>, there were 6 new coronavirus deaths and 218 new cases reported on January 31 with an average of 371 cases per day.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph">This puts Puerto Rico’s total cases at <strong>127,239</strong> and deaths at <strong>1,829</strong>.&nbsp;</p>
